Connect Meta Muse to SMS with AI Text-a-roo

Meta Muse builds custom connectors itself. Ask Muse to build an AI Text-a-roo connector from aitextaroo.com/llms.txt and give it your API key to store securely. Muse can then text you. In Muse Code, add the MCP server to your settings file instead.

Method: Custom connector (Muse) · MCP (Muse Code) · Updated October 23, 2026

Set up Meta Muse

  1. 1

    Get an API key: sign up at aitextaroo.com or run the CLI setup. It takes about two minutes.

  2. 2

    Ask Muse to build the connector:

    Copy
    Build a custom connector for AI Text-a-roo using https://aitextaroo.com/llms.txt and https://api.aitextaroo.com/openapi.json. Store my API key in your credentials store.
  3. 3

    Test it: “Text me ‘hello from Muse’.”

  4. 4

    Using Muse Code? Add the server under mcp_servers in ~/.config/muse/settings.json:

    Copy
    "aitextaroo": {
      "transport": "streamable_http",
      "url": "https://api.aitextaroo.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your API key>" }
    }

Things to ask Meta Muse

  • “Text me if an email from my landlord or my kid's school comes in.”
  • “Send me a text reminder an hour before each appointment.”

Good to know

  • Meta's help center says Muse can build custom connectors from API information and keeps credentials in its Secure Credentials Store. Meta doesn't review custom connectors.
  • Muse's consumer app doesn't document a paste-a-URL MCP option. Muse Code supports MCP servers and reads skills from .agents/skills/<id>/SKILL.md.

Meta Muse FAQ

Does Meta Muse support MCP?

Muse Code, Meta's terminal agent, does: add AI Text-a-roo under mcp_servers in its settings file. The consumer Muse app uses custom connectors that Muse builds from API documentation, so point it at aitextaroo.com/llms.txt and our OpenAPI spec.
