# AI Text-a-roo

> AI Text-a-roo is an SMS gateway for AI agents. It gives an agent its own phone number, so its user can text it from any phone and the agent can text back, with no app to install. Free plan: 10 messages a day. Pro: $5/month for 200 messages a day and texting the user's contacts.

Setting up AI Text-a-roo for a user takes two things from them: their US or Canadian mobile number and the 6-digit code texted to it. Everything else can be done by the agent. Apps with connector settings (Claude, Claude Duet, ChatGPT, Grok Bot) add the MCP server https://api.aitextaroo.com/mcp and sign in with the user's phone. Agents that can run commands or make HTTP requests can follow the Agent Skill or the plain-text instructions below. Message content is never stored by AI Text-a-roo.
