# Text Grok Bot from your phone, and get texts back

Ask Grok Bot to add AI Text-a-roo as a custom MCP server, then sign in with your phone number. Grok Bot can then text you. To text it back anytime, ask Grok Bot to create a webhook routine and register it with AI Text-a-roo's set_webhook tool: each text you send then wakes the bot.

## Set up Grok Bot

1. In a Grok Bot chat, say:

   ```
   Add a custom MCP server called AI Text-a-roo at https://api.aitextaroo.com/mcp
   ```
2. Sign in with your phone number and the 6-digit code when Grok Bot asks you to authorize. We'll text you that the app is connected.
3. So you can text Grok Bot anytime, ask it to set up forwarding:

   ```
   Create a webhook routine that reads my text from AI Text-a-roo's webhook and replies with send_text. Then register the routine with AI Text-a-roo using set_webhook.
   ```
4. If you've set a security PIN, Grok Bot asks you for it. AI Text-a-roo then texts you where your texts are going. Text UNHOOK anytime to stop forwarding, or stop it on your dashboard.
5. Text your AI's number. Grok Bot wakes up, does the work, and texts you back.

### Does Grok Bot have SMS built in?
